“The Common Good for the Commonwealth”

We all make choices with our dollars every day in households across Pennsylvania. Those choices represent our values and are done with consideration of our personal budgets. We hear a lot of spin, but the reality is this: Government must do the same while maintaining its responsibility to steward public infrastructure and investing in its greatest assets—its people and their well-being.

Pennsylvania is facing large deficits and our economy is still in recovery. We will work to reign in excessive spending to secure our present, but we must also consider the future and how careful investment can yield great returns by growing businesses, creating job opportunities, protecting our natural resources, and supporting our residents and our communities.

It is imperative that we work in a bi-partisan matter in creating this year’s budget and in passing legislation that promotes the well-being of our people. Please take a look at my
co-sponsorship memoranda to learn more about my legislative priorities.
