October 24, 2009 — Members of Club Scout Pack 152 from the Fox Chapel and O'Hara Township area visited with Senator Ferlo in his district office today as part of their efforts to earn their Citizenship in the Community merit badges. The children talked with the senator and asked questions about whom he represents in the 38th District, what his job entails, and how laws are passed.

October 24, 2009 - Ferlo, Mayor Luke Ravenstahl, Councilman Patrick Down, representatives from Presbyterian Senior care, local senior citizens, and many more came together for a commemorative sledgehammer ceremony for the future York Commons.

The revitalization will transform the obsolete Lamberth Apartments into 102 state-of-the-art units known as York Commons. The apartment community will continue to build on its 40-year history of service to continue to meet the news of low-income older adults in the Lawrenceville community.

August 9 th, 2008- Ferlo and a large group of health care advocates including Congressman John Conyers, sponsor of the National Single-Payer Healthcare legislation HR 676, hold a press conference calling for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to add a Universal, Single Payer Health Model plank to the Party’s platform.  (5 photos)

July 30th, 2008- Healthcare groups, organizations, and individuals from across Pennsylvania today joined Ferlo in celebrating the 43rd birthday of Medicare.The celebration recognizes the passage of Federal Medicare, which was signed into law by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1965, and calls for legislation that would create a single payer national health care plan. (25 photos)

Johnson, celebrating the opening of their new dental clinic and raising awareness about the vital work the clinic and its partnering organizations provide to 17,000 patients in the Alle-Kiski Valley Region.
