| Harrisburg, June 19, 2007 - State Senator Jim Ferlo (D-Pittsburgh) today applauded Governor Rendell on his appointments to the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County.
Governor Rendell appointed attorneys Cathleen Bubash and Michael E. McCarthy, both of Pittsburgh, to the court.
“Both of these individuals are exceedingly qualified to serve on the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County,” Ferlo said. “Both appointees have already demonstrated exceptional integrity and solid judicial temperament in the courtroom.”
Bubash, a Duquesne University School of Law graduate, has been a district judge in Allegheny County for the past seven years.
McCarthy, a Navy Seabee veteran, has been appointed by the court to three successive terms as Chairman of the Board of Viewers, Fifth Judicial District.
“I applaud Governor Rendell on these two appointments,” Ferlo said. “They will both undoubtedly succeed in their appointed positions.”
